The cover is whiskey Shinki Hikaku Shell Cordovan that is roughly 4oz. thick. The card slots are 3-4oz. Q-Tan Lite Bridle Leather sourced from Thoroughbred Leather. You can find more info about ordering from Thoroughbred Leather check out <a href=\"\/reviews\/review-thoroughbred-leather-natural-and-walnut-vegetable-tanned-leathers-video\/\">this post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For this card holder I would suggest anywhere from 2oz to 5oz for the outer cover and anywhere from 2oz to 4oz for the card slots. If you had to choose an &#8220;all-around&#8221; weight that would work well for all pieces it would be 3\/4 oz.<\/p>\n<p>If you are not using a vegetable tanned leather to create this flap wallet your edge finishing guidelines will probably be different. Chrome-tanned leathers and extremely soft leathers like sheepskin are difficult and sometimes impossible to burnish by hand.
